The Kingswell

This room has a double bed and again faces south so the room enjoys the same views to the sea as the Ashburnham. The large ensuite bathroom has both a freestanding roll top bath and a large shower and looks out over the walled garden.

There is a spring in the grounds of a house only a few doors up from Boreham House (through the wood at the back of Boreham House) which is called the King’s Well and is reputed to be where the monarch would stop to ‘take the waters’ when passing this way over the centuries. There are a number of king’s wells around the country.
